DJI has just released a teaser for a new product launch scheduled for November 18, 2025, at 7 a.m. ET. The teaser carries the caption “Square up, nail the move,” which may hint at the design or sensor shape of the upcoming product — fueling speculation that it refers to a square sensor action camera.

The teaser image itself shows what appears to be the lens of a square-shaped camera, subtly confirming earlier rumors about the next addition to DJI’s action camera lineup.

The Osmo Action 6 Is Likely Incoming

Although DJI hasn’t explicitly named the product, multiple sources — including DroneXL and DJI Rumors — have confirmed that the teaser points to the upcoming DJI Osmo Action 6.

Leaks suggest that the Osmo Action 6 will feature a larger 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensor, an upgrade from the 1/1.3-inch sensor in the previous model. The camera is also expected to sport a variable aperture lens ranging from F/2.0 to F/4.0, a feature rarely seen in action cameras and a significant leap for creative control and low-light performance.

According to early reports, the Osmo Action 6 will be capable of recording 8K video at 30fps, matching the capabilities of the Insta360 Ace Pro 2. It will also include dual OLED displays — one on the front and another on the back — allowing users to monitor framing and settings from any angle.

Battery life is expected to improve, with a 1,950 mAh battery providing extended recording times. Pricing is rumored to start at around $329, which would make it a compelling alternative to other flagship action cameras in its class.

Possible U.S. Availability

DJI has faced ongoing challenges launching new products in the United States this year. The Mavic 4 Pro and Mini 5 Pro, for instance, were not officially released in the country due to regulatory hurdles.

However, there may be hope for the Osmo Action 6. Unlike those drones, DJI’s U.S. website already has a dedicated landing page for the upcoming action camera. While this doesn’t confirm a U.S. launch, it’s a promising sign — especially since other recent DJI products lacked any official U.S. web presence.
