The Z 135mm f/1.8 S Plena is a professional-grade full-frame lens engineered to deliver edge-to-edge sharpness, uniform brightness, and exceptionally smooth rendering. Its large rear element and advanced optical layout help maintain consistent luminosity across the entire frame—one of the reasons the Plena has become a favorite among portrait and wedding photographers.

Nikon also built the Plena for speed and reliability. Moment has released Pro Camera II, a fully redesigned version of its popular third-party camera app for iPhone. The new app is built to unlock more of the iPhone’s imaging capabilities through advanced manual controls, pro-video features, and a customizable interface aimed at photographers and filmmakers.

The original Pro Camera app was widely regarded as one of the best alternatives to Apple’s native camera app, even reaching the #1 rated camera app spot for several years. But it had begun to show its age with slower startup times and occasional crashes. Pro Camera II aims to fix that with a faster, more stable foundation and an overhauled user experience.

Rebuilt for Performance and Creative Control

Pro Camera II introduces a streamlined, configurable interface and expands access to manual photography tools. Users can shoot in Shutter Priority, ISO Priority, Manual, or Auto exposure modes, including the ability to define a custom Auto ISO range for more consistent exposures.

White balance controls have also been upgraded. Photographers can adjust temperature and tint, choose presets, or calibrate using a gray card. The app even allows fine-tuning of image processing and HDR intensity for more precise results.

Professional Video Tools on the iPhone

Moment has packed the new version with a robust set of video features normally found in dedicated cinema apps. Pro Camera II supports Apple Log, Open Gate, ProRes, and 10-bit recording. Users can configure resolution, frame rate, codec, color space, bitrate, and chroma subsampling.

Video monitoring tools include Waveform, RGB Histogram, and audio metering—important additions for shooters who need accurate exposure and color control.

LUT support is also built in. LUTs can be imported, applied to photo and video, and toggled between preview mode or baked-in output with adjustable intensity.

Customizable Interface and Workflow

Pro Camera II’s interface can be tailored to the user’s shooting style. A left-hand layout option and customizable quick-access tools make it easier to reach frequently used settings such as flash, stabilization, zebras, grids, and focus peaking. Zen Mode simplifies the interface for distraction-free shooting, removing everything except essential tools.

The updated app integrates seamlessly with Moment’s iPhone lens and case ecosystem. Moment says future updates will add slow shutter and timelapse modes, advanced profile sharing, and expanded support for third-party hardware.

Pricing and Availability

Moment’s Pro Camera II app is available now on the Apple App Store for $9.99.

Sirui, widely known for its cinema lenses, has launched a new line of autofocus anamorphic lenses under the Astra series. These lenses are the first full-frame anamorphic options to offer both autofocus and a fast T1.8 aperture.

The project debuted on Kickstarter with a goal of just $5,000, but the response has been far stronger. As of writing, the campaign has surpassed $258,000, signaling significant interest from filmmakers and content creators. The Astra series lenses are coming to Sony E, Nikon Z, and L-Mount.

This year, the company has also released a number of prime lenses in the Aurora series, which is geared more towards photography. The current lineup includes the 85mm F/1.4 and the new 35mm F/1.4.

A New Autofocus Anamorphic Lineup

The Sirui Astra series consists of 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm T1.8 autofocus anamorphic cine lenses. Sirui says the lineup is designed for independent filmmakers and professional creators who need high-end image quality with user-friendly operation for run-and-gun setups.

As with most cinema lens series, the three Astra lenses share a uniform physical design. They have consistent dimensions and ergonomics, weigh between 600 and 700 grams, and all use 67mm filter threads with matching gear positions. This uniformity means operators can swap lenses on rigs and gimbals without recalibrating or rebalancing.

Classic Cinematic Look With a 1.33x Squeeze

Each lens features a constant 1.33x squeeze ratio, delivering a proper 2.35:1 widescreen image without cropping or pixel loss. The resulting footage includes oval bokeh, vertical stretch in the background, and the immersive aesthetic that anamorphic shooters expect.

The Astra lenses also support fast and accurate autofocus, enabling solo filmmakers and small crews to shoot cinema-grade footage with greater ease. Focus distance scales are built in, and the lenses are compatible with LiDAR follow-focus systems for consistent and reliable tracking.

With a fast T1.8 aperture, the lenses are capable in low-light environments and night scenes while offering shallow depth of field and smooth, soft bokeh. Buyers can choose between blue flare or neutral flare versions to match the desired anamorphic look. Shooting into bright light sources emphasizes the signature flare characteristics of each model.

Pricing and Availability

The Sirui Astra 1.33x autofocus anamorphic lenses are currently available through Kickstarter for $799 each, or $2,399 for a three-lens set that ships with a hard case. Once the crowdfunding campaign ends, they will retail for $999 per lens, and the full set will be priced at $2,999.

Mount options include Sony E, Nikon Z, and L-Mount.

After months of leaks and speculation, DJI has officially launched the Osmo Action 6 globally. The announcement follows its initial debut in China a few days earlier, mirroring the company’s recent release pattern with the DJI Neo 2.

Larger 1/1.1-Inch Sensor and the First Variable Aperture in an Action Camera

The sixth-generation Osmo Action introduces one of the most significant upgrades the action camera market has seen in years: an industry-first F/2.0–4.0 variable aperture lens paired with a 1/1.1-inch square-format sensor. The sensor is 40% larger than the one in the Osmo Action 5, and with a faster F/2.0 maximum aperture, low-light performance should see a meaningful improvement.

The mechanical variable aperture allows shooters to control depth of field and exposure without relying on ND filters. DJI says the camera can automatically choose the appropriate aperture based on the shooting scenario.

At F/2.0, the lens gathers twice as much light as the previous model’s fixed F/2.8 aperture. At F/4.0, users gain more depth of field and better control in bright scenes.

The square sensor is also designed with flexibility in mind, enabling seamless switching between horizontal, vertical, and cropped formats. DJI claims the updated sensor delivers up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range.

4K at 120 fps — Still

While the rest of the camera receives major upgrades, DJI has kept the maximum recording mode at 4K 120p, mirroring the previous generation. Competing cameras like the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 now offer 8K30 (albeit without Log support), making this an interesting decision on DJI’s part.

Taking advantage of the square sensor, DJI introduces 4K Free Cut, a shoot-first, crop-later mode that lets creators reframe their footage into 4:3, 16:9, or 9:16 vertical formats during editing. This adds considerable flexibility for social media, YouTube, and multi-platform workflows.

Stabilization, Battery, and Build Upgrades

The Osmo Action 6 features RockSteady 3.0+, along with HorizonBalancing and HorizonSteady modes. All stabilization features are available across resolutions, though some advanced modes have frame rate limitations at higher settings.

The camera uses a 1,950 mAh Li-ion battery, capable of recording up to 240 minutes of 1080p/24fps footage. DJI says the camera is designed to operate reliably from –20°C to 45°C. A full charge takes about 52 minutes with a 30W charger, and an optional 4,900 mAh extended battery is available for longer sessions.

The Osmo Action 6 supports OsmoAudio, allowing wireless connection to two DJI microphone transmitters. It also includes three internal mics that capture stereo audio at 48 kHz 16-bit AAC.

A 1.46-inch front touchscreen and 2.5-inch rear OLED display provide dual-screen operation. The camera is waterproof to 20 meters without a housing, or 60 meters with the optional dive case. The body weighs 149 grams, only 3 grams heavier than the previous generation.

Pricing and Availability

The DJI Osmo Action 6 is available for pre-order for $379 in the Standard Combo from B&H. The Adventure Combo, which includes additional batteries, a battery case, and a selfie stick, is priced at $479.

A variety of optional accessories are also available separately.

Godox has unveiled its latest innovation — a modular compact flash and wireless trigger system that supports TTL and HSS across all major camera brands. The new iT32 Mini Flash and X5 TTL Wireless Flash Trigger are now available for preorder for just $98 as a kit.

A Compact, Modular Flash with Modern Features

At first glance, the Godox iT32 Flash looks like a conventional speedlight, complete with a rotating and tilting head, built-in reflector and diffuser, rear touchscreen interface, and an LED modeling lamp. Inside, it packs a 2.4GHz wireless receiver, a 900mAh rechargeable lithium battery, and a USB-C port for charging and firmware updates. It also supports magnetic color filters, adding flexibility for creative lighting setups.

Where the iT32 truly stands out is in its modular design. Unlike most flashes with a built-in hot shoe connection, the iT32 features a detachable dumb hot shoe, allowing it to mount directly onto a camera or other accessories. The hot shoe can also be removed entirely to attach the flash magnetically to the Godox X5 Wireless Flash Trigger.

“The magnetic interface between iT32 and X5 ensures a stable, one-click connection that’s firm yet quick to detach,” Godox explains. Once connected, the flash automatically identifies the X5 version to provide full TTL and HSS support for the specific camera system in use.

Wireless Integration Across the Godox Ecosystem

The iT32 acts as a 2.4GHz wireless receiver, while the X5 serves as both a transmitter and controller. Godox promises a stable and instant connection between the two, eliminating the need for manual pairing.

Interestingly, the X5 and iT32 can also function as a master controller for other Godox flashes with built-in 2.4GHz receivers, maintaining compatibility with the broader Godox X wireless system.

“The iT32 and X5 offer a universal solution for photographers working across different camera systems,” Godox says. “Its interchangeable magnetic X5 hot shoe allows instant switching between brands by simply changing the X5 version. This flexible design helps photographers focus more on creativity and less on equipment compatibility.”

While Godox’s wireless triggers have long supported cross-brand functionality, the modular, magnetic design of the iT32 system introduces a new level of portability and convenience for hybrid shooters.

Compact Build and Capable Performance

The iT32 Mini Flash is impressively compact, measuring only 101 x 56 x 39 millimeters and weighing 170 grams. It offers a guide number of 18 meters (ISO 100), a flash duration as fast as 1/30,000s, and a recycle time of 1.5 seconds.

Users can adjust flash power from 1/128 to 1/1 in 1/3-stop increments, with ±3 EV flash compensation available. The iT32 can also be triggered wirelessly up to 80 meters away, making it versatile for on-location shoots.

Pricing and Availability

The Godox iT32 TTL Mini Flash is available for preorder now for $79, while the Godox X5 Wireless Trigger retails for $19.90. The X5 will be available in multiple versions for Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, OM System, and Sony cameras.

The iT32 + X5 kit is priced at $98 and will begin shipping soon through major retailers and the official Godox store.

Leica has introduced a new addition to its Reporter series with the launch of the SL3 Reporter, joining the M10-P, Q2, and SL2-S in the lineup. This premium variant of the company’s full-frame mirrorless camera is now available for pre-order at $7,995.

Rugged Design with a Signature Look

The Reporter line is known for its distinct dark green finish and utilitarian styling — and the SL3 Reporter continues that tradition. Beyond its aesthetics, the finish offers enhanced durability and protection against the elements compared to the standard SL3.

The camera features a cover made from aramid fiber, a high-strength, heat-resistant synthetic fabric. This family of materials includes Kevlar, best known for its use in bulletproof vests. Combined with the SL3’s IP54 certification, the aramid build provides improved resistance to dust and water, ensuring the camera can withstand more demanding shooting conditions.

Improved Grip and Aging Character

Leica says the new textured aramid exterior not only improves grip — particularly useful in wet or rugged environments — but also develops a unique patina over time, giving each camera a one-of-a-kind look that reflects its use.

“This ensures enhanced stability when taking photographs and filming,” Leica explains. “Over time, the trim develops a unique patina that reflects the traces of its photographic journey and the character of a true reportage camera.”

As with other Reporter models, the SL3 Reporter forgoes the signature red Leica badge in favor of a more discreet appearance, aligning with the line’s professional, field-oriented identity.

Same High-End Performance Inside

Internally, the SL3 Reporter is identical to the standard Leica SL3. It features a 60-megapixel backside-illuminated full-frame sensor, a hybrid autofocus system, and Leica’s Maestro IV processor for fast performance and exceptional image quality.

Other highlights include a 5.76-million-dot electronic viewfinder, a 3.2-inch tilting touchscreen, and a 1.28-inch top display for essential shooting information. The camera is compatible with L-Mount lenses, giving photographers access to a broad ecosystem from Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma.

Leica notes that the SL3 integrates seamlessly with the Leica FOTOS app, allowing for efficient wireless file transfer and remote control functionality — ideal for professional workflows.

Pricing and Availability

The Leica SL3 Reporter is available for pre-order now through authorized Leica retailers and the Leica Online Store for $7,995. This marks a modest increase over the $7,485 base price of the standard SL3.

SanDisk has introduced the Extreme Fit USB-C flash drive, a tiny, high-capacity “plug-and-stay” storage device designed to remain attached to a laptop or desktop without getting in the way. It is also the smallest portable drive the company has ever released.

A Shockingly Small Form Factor

The Extreme Fit is very small—almost unbelievably so. The drive measures only 18.5 × 13.7 × 16 millimeters and weighs a mere 3 grams, making it about the size of a wireless mouse dongle. Its compact size makes it highly portable and tempting to leave plugged in indefinitely.

However, long-term attachment does come with a warning. USB-C connectors are relatively fragile, and because the drive sticks out slightly, it could be bent or damaged if it catches on something inside a bag.

Storage Capacities and Compatibility

SanDisk offers the Extreme Fit in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities. The flash drive works with both macOS and Windows machines and is meant to serve as convenient, always-available on-device storage.

Performance Limitations

The tiny form factor comes with trade-offs. The Extreme Fit uses USB 3.2 Gen 1, which caps maximum transfer speeds at up to 400MB/s for all models except the 64GB version, which is even slower.

These speeds are adequate for general file storage, photo backups, and light video use, but the drive is not fast enough for editing high-resolution video footage directly from it.

Photographers and videographers who need real performance should consider more capable portable SSDs such as the OWC Express 1M2 80G Portable SSD or the LaCie Rugged SSD4, both of which offer vastly superior transfer speeds and durability. Still, if ultra-small size is the top priority, the Extreme Fit is tough to beat.

Pricing and Availability

The SanDisk Extreme Fit USB-C flash drive is available now. Pricing starts at $17.95 for the 64GB model, while the 1TB version retails for $134.95.

After debuting in Asia two weeks ago, DJI’s new ultralight Neo 2 drone is now available globally. However, it remains unavailable in the United States due to ongoing FCC regulatory hurdles.

“DJI remains committed to the U.S. market and serving our U.S.-based customers. Like many global companies, we’ve had to adjust our market strategies as the local conditions and industry environment have evolved,” DJI spokesperson Daisy Kong told The Verge.

Major Upgrades in the Neo 2

The Neo 2 introduces several significant improvements over its predecessor, making it one of DJI’s most advanced sub-250g drones yet. The standout feature is the addition of a front-facing LiDAR sensor and an omnidirectional obstacle avoidance system. This gives pilots more confidence when flying and provides added safety for autonomous flights.

Another notable enhancement is the larger 1/2-inch CMOS sensor paired with a faster f/2.2 lens, delivering superior image quality and better low-light performance. The Neo 2 now supports 4K 60p recording, or up to 4K 100fps in slow-motion mode when using a controller. The new two-axis gimbal ensures smoother movement and creative control for dynamic aerial shots.

DJI has fine-tuned the Neo 2’s handling and flight characteristics. The drone now reaches speeds of up to 27 mph, has improved wind resistance, and offers a slightly longer flight time compared to the original Neo.

New gesture controls make it possible to issue hands-free commands such as adjusting altitude or distance when flying without a remote. The Neo 2 also supports optional antennas for stronger signal stability and works with DJI’s RC-N3 and Motion 3 controllers, allowing for greater precision and responsiveness during flight.

DJI Neo 2 Pricing and Availability

The DJI Neo 2 is now available in most markets worldwide, excluding the U.S. The standard bundle retails for €239 in Europe and can be purchased directly from the DJI online store or through major retailers such as WEX Photo and London Camera Exchange in the UK or Amazon in Canada.

In Canada, the Neo 2 Standard Bundle is officially listed at $229 USD before tax, though DJI notes that this should not be used as an indicator of U.S. pricing once it eventually launches stateside. You can also purchase the Fly More Combo with the additional batteries or the Fly More Combo With RC-N3 Remote Controller

Some U.S. retailers may offer the Neo 2 through unofficial channels, similar to how the Mavic 4 Pro has appeared on Amazon and B&H. However, DJI has not confirmed whether it will honor warranties for units purchased from unauthorized U.S. sellers. For any warranty-related concerns, DJI recommends that customers contact its support team to verify if their case qualifies for repair.
